The following upgrades are available for the Doublefacer:
Bottom Liner Booster Preheater
7993473 - Single hump booster preheater (610 mm/24 inches long in machine direction) for bottom liner, with nip type (electric motor) thread-up aid. Thread-up aid will pull liner from wet end and direct it across the Pyro PlatensT to the vacuum traction section. During production, electric motor applies torque to the thread-up roll for bottom liner tension reduction.

7993472 - Nip roll system (driven by pneumatic motor) that will pull bottom liner from wet end and directs web across Pyro PlatensT to vacuum traction section.
Cool Vac Upgrade
MarquipWardUnited Cool Vac Upgrade takes vacuum drive technology and incorporates it into your existing equipment. The Vacuum Traction Section (VTS) is placed downstream from the existing hot plate section in place of the current lower pulling section. The upper belt is relocated upstream to allow full unobtrusive potential of the VTS. Click here to see the video which shows its operation.
Nickel Coated Hot Plates
7993471 - Hot plate with electroless nickel (hardcoat) coating for drag reduction and ease of starch release. Includes hot plate, threaded rods, and coupling.
Pressure Bag Holddown System
7993555 - Power air actuator that applies a load to each of the individual blowers on the existing holddown mesh.
Web Lifters
7993116 - Series of lifting devices installed in spaces between Double Backer hot plates. Devices are automatically actuated by PLC when Double Backer stop occurs. Web Lifters raise and support corrugated web above hot plates to prevent over drying of web, and to allow access for cleaning of hot plates.

NOTE: Field Service installation assistance is recommended and is not included in software update price. It may be possible to install the software update via modem, in some cases, dependent upon hardware and software configuration.
