The following upgrades are available for the Stacker:

 

Add Warning Buzzer to Existing Red Light
7990470 - Provides audible warning of automatic initiated Stacker discharges.


Additional Stacker Operator Console
7991661 - Includes additional catwalk operator console located on pedestal stand


Automatic Order Change
7990440 - Hardware and software for implementation of high-speed AOC.


Backstop-Mounted Stack Level Detect System
7990442 - Includes brackets and cable required to mount existing stack detect photoeyes on backstop.


Backstop Springs
7990451 - Backstop spring assembly to avoid damage to backstop when lift is improperly raised under backstop.


Belt on Lift Rollers
7990452 - Flat belt and associated mounting hardware to mount belt on upstream end of lift rollers to reduce narrow sheet stack tip over.


Belt Stop Safety Upgrade
7993459 - Allows operators to stop the upper level infeed flat belt (last flat belt) allowing safe access to enter and walk on the belt to remove scrap. Refer to Service Bulletin 8970259.


Bifold Doors
7990462 - Hinged doors on operator side in area of vacuum and accumulation conveyor.


Brush Assembly for Accumulation Conveyor
7993491 - Second brush assembly with pneumatic regulator over accumulation conveyor. Reduces board breakage with long sheets and doublewall.

Brush Assembly for Shingling Conveyors
7993452 - Replacement of vacuum or accumulation conveyor spring finger assembly with brush-type holddown assembly. NOTE: Multiple brush assemblies may be required per level (up to 5 per level for 1000 FPM stacker with dual spring fingers on vacuum conveyors).

Cut Pulse Converter
7990811 - Cut pulse converter card, Knife cylinder proximity sensor, and web present photoeye to replace existing light bar system used for sheet count.


Downstream Conveyor Interface Guarding
7990473 - Fixed guard located on lift table for applications in which first roller of customer's reserve conveyor is nondriven.


Dual Brush Holddown Assembly
7993490 - Vacuum conveyor holddown assembly includes a set of long and short brushes to improve short and long sheet shingling. Short brush assembly automatically actuate for sheets less than 965 mm (38 inches) in length.


Encoder Guards
7990458 - Guards for Knife outfeed head shafts.


Energy Absorbing/Vibrating Backstop
7993041 - Significantly reduces sheet bounce against the backstop and enhances stack quality.

5TI PLC Upgrade
7991288 - PLC Upgrade to replace 5TI Upgrade includes the following: Processor, I/O base and I/O; wire whips from new I/O base to existing terminals; new software, software documentation including TCAM list and I/O list; procedure for converting old TCAM settings to new; new panel layout, new I/O rack wiring, and a new controls schematic.

Improved Safety Stop Back
7990463 - Upper conveyor safety stop to protect foreign objects from being fed to upper lift bay.


Knife Outfeed Section Upgrade
7990430 - Replaces existing urethane wheels and holddown metal strips with no-crush holddown wheels and wide metal strips for improved sheet control and eliminates board crush in knife outfeed area.


Lift Chain Guards/Lift Area Railings
7990459 - Lift sprocket guards and chain guards, railing on upstream side of lift at floor level (Stackers shipped before October, 1982).


Lift Drop Safety Reset
7990468 - Upgrades existing reset control to make use of existing photoeye to stop lift drop.


Lift Infeed Holddown Brushes
7993122 - Replacement of Stacker lift infeed pigeon trap finger assembly with brush-type holddown assembly.

Lift Jam Reset
7990465 - Control and program change to require reset by Stacker operator after lift photoeyes sense jam (if no reset button).


Lift Jam Reset Software Update
7990466 - Program (software) which prevents lift from raising until downstream ready and lift jam reset.


Lift/Leveling Chain Upgrade
7990750 - Higher strength lift/leveling chains and sprockets for improved chain life. Applicable to Model I Stackers only. 3130013- #100 Timing Chain (Super H), 3130012 - #120 Lift Chain (Super H).


Lift Lock
7990464 - Manual lever provides lock to hold lift up for maintenance and cleaning underneath.


Lift Raise Safety Software Update
7991083 - Modification of the existing safety lift stop system from immediately initiating an E-stop to a controlled stop when lift raise safety photoeye is blocked.


Load Tag Printer Port
7991206 - Serial data port to customer's printer and controller to down load load tag data.


Manual Adjust Vacuum Modulator
7990466 - Manual actuator allows operator to adjust amount of vacuum on vacuum conveyor.


Manual Belt Speed Adjust
7990447 - Potentiometer allows adjustment of belt speeds to vary shingle percentage.


Model I Stacker Controls
This automation upgrade replaces the obsolete 5TI programmable logic controllers with Allen-Bradley SLC 500 series platforms and provides a color touchscreen Allen-Bradley Panelview 1000 operator interface at the main console.

Raise Disable Lift Upgrade

Seco 6150 Drive Upgrade
7990431 - Seco 6150 drive replacement of Seco 6500 or 6700 drives for accumulation conveyor, shingling nip, backstop, and 5 hp conveyor motor.


Surge Suppressor
7993020 - suppressor filters incoming power to protect machine components from electrical spikes and surges caused by lightning and power-up of other equipment on the same distribution line.


Sync Vac
7993130 - Shuttle actuation of vacuum on first vacuum conveyor to turn vacuum off as sheet is entering Stacker and on as trailing edge leaves the Knife. Includes modulated force on spring fingers or brushes and encoder and proximity sensor for knife exit rolls.


Smooth Shift Lift Drop Valve
7990636 - Replacement solenoid smooth shift lift drop valve to reduce shocks associated with starting and stopping the lift under stack forming operations.


3 Push Button Operator Station
7993470 - Auxiliary three push button station for machine control.


200 to 260 mpm Speed Upgrade for Model I
7990453 - Includes associated hardware and software to upgrade 200 MPM (650 FPM) Stacker to 260 MPM (860 FPM) operation. For Model I Stackers. (7990745) 260 MPM (850 FPM) Vacuum/Accumulation Conveyors may be required.

Variable Vacuum Blower
7990747 - Variable automatic modulation of vacuum level dependent upon line speed, sheet length and sheet width. Enhances shingling quality, reduces power consumption and noise level. Available on DECC controlled machines only.


Warning Signs
7990460 - Two signs per Stacker warning that conveyors change speed.


Wet End Port Lineal Scrap System
7990439 - Optional wet end port for communication of lineal scrap removed at dry end to the wet end control system. (Requires Scrap Entry system.)


Zero-Crush Lift Infeed Roller Assembly
